As I spend such a large chunk of my time drawing Cambrian beasties I though I might as well introduce them to the general public. The first is a reconstruction of the head of Fuxianhuia protensa - an arthropod that has attention as it is thought to represent the granddaddy of all arthropods. Enjoy! David Attachments:

And as an added bonus here's an (as yet) undescribed arthropod from the Stephens Formation (stratigraphically equivalent to the Burgess Shale Formation) of Kooteney National Park in British Columbia. The paper describing this arthropod is currently under review so fingers crossed it gets accepted. D. Attachments:
